The following code example uses the derived class Text Box and validates an e-mail address that the user enters.

If the e-mail address is not in the standard format (containing "@" and "."), the validation fails, an Error Provider icon is displayed, and the event is canceled.

I'm not sure what you wish to do, but you have to treat integers and floats differently in C. I like to use strtol for integers and strtod for floats.

You can read a character string from the user with scanf, then convert it to an integer with strtol.

Hi fellows, i started learning C in college but i m kind new to it.. I usually code python and php, and both have functions to do it, like is_numeric in php or isdigit() in python, but i dont know if C have one.

atoi() function returns the integer number if the input string contains integer, else it will return 0.

There are many inbuilt functions in C language which are used to validate the data type of given variable and to convert upper to lower case and lower to upper case are given below with description and simple example programs.

Everyone, including myself, has to think quite a bit about how pointers work before they get it.

this is a piece of my code, and i declared name as char name [30]; but, it says error argument of type *char is incompatible with parameter type int..
